Cloth pads
There are many styles of cloth pad to choose from, with the "Mini" and "Nymph" sizes being the smallest and perhaps best suited for a Menarche gift. I have larger pads available suitable for Post Partum if this is to be a gift for a New Mother.
The kits can also include a special pad with the name of the recipient embroidered onto it. Or it can include a pocket pad which can allow the woman to embroider her own name (and date) onto the back of the pad easily.
Jewellery
A special piece of jewellery can help mark this transition from girl to woman, or be a beautiful piece of empowering jewellery to wear while menstruating. A "Charting Bracelet" could make a useful as well as beautiful addition, to help the woman chart her cycles.
Menstrual diaries
A useful tool to write down any thoughts and feelings, as well as marking off menstruating days, and may help predict cramps, PMT and other related symptoms.
Menstrual Ceremonies
Menarche Ceremonies are available to mark the occasion of the young woman's first period, or there are menstrual ceremonies to celebrate menstruation for other women. These can include just the ceremony itself (on parchment-look paper), or include props such as red candles to be used with the ceremonies.
Yoni Celebration
A small plaster "yoni" (representation of the vulva) can be included with a small ritual/ceremony.
