A foldup pad has a normal pad shaped top, with a trifold booster sewn to the underside. This trifold part provides the main absorbency for the pad, but can be unfolded to allow the pad to dry more quickly than an All-in-One style pad. To use this pad, fold one side of the booster part over 1/3, then fold the other side ontop of this. Then place the pad into your underpants like you would any other pad (with the trifold size down) The wings snap around to hold the pad in place. The winged part of this pad is made from a top layer of flannelette, and an underneath layer of hemp/organic cotton fleece. The trifold is made from a layer of flannelette and a layer of hemp/organic cotton fleece. Making 4 layers of hemp in total when folded. Please see here for more information on fold-up pads. These 2 pads are "seconds" because the fabric has a couple of dark marks on it (from dye transfer while washing it with darker fabric). One has a mark (rust?) ion the hemp, which was in the fabric from the manufacturer. I'm not sure if these will wash out after a few washes or if they will be permanent (I think they'll be permanent).
