This Cycle Charting Keyring can help you to track your menstrual cycle and fertility.
Handmade with 2 shades of red Czech Fire Polished glass beads. Comes with instructions for use.
This cycle charting method uses a specific combination of beads, to show the days of the cycle and the typical high and low fertility days. Some women use this method of charting to work out the days where pregnancy is most likely to occur (for contraceptive reasons or when trying to conceive) Like these. Some women use it to simply keep track of when their period will be due.
This keyring comes with a charm on a clasp, that you move along each day to show where on the cycle you are (You move the charm to the space between the beads)
This features one larger red bead to mark the start of menstruation (the first bleeding day). Then 6 light red beads to mark the low fertile days. The 12 dark red beads mark the high fertile days of the cycle (The time you are most likely to get pregnant). The remaining 13 beads mark the low fertile days again, with a silver bead marking day 26 (The flower shaped spacer beads are not part of the cycle charting)
To use this fertility charting method your cycle needs to be 26-32 days long. If your period comes before you would reach the special bead (day 26), then your cycle is shorter than 26 days and this system may not work for tracking fertility for you. If your period has does not start the day after you have reached the final charting bead, then your cycle is longer than 32 days and this system may not work for tracking fertility for you.
If you don't want to use it as a keyring, you could hang this where you would be able to see it and move the charm daily. If you mark the first day of your period on a calendar, you will be able to count the beads to work out where in the cycle you are up to if you forget to move the charm.
This should not be used to replace contraceptives, as it cannot be guaranteed to be accurate. It is not a contraceptive device. It is intended to represent the "average" cycle, and to be used by women interested in tracking their cycles. Using this to help prevent pregnancy is not recommended, and done so at your own risk.
