Turn off the lights at 8:30pm Sat 23rd March!
 
To help raise awareness and to show support for Earth Hour, the "lights" on this page of the website have been symbolically turned off... (see, it's dark :D)
 
As Environmental matters are important to me, I support Earth Hour! I see this as an opportunity to be aware of all the power we consume and how this affects the Environment. To be aware of the little things we can change that can make a difference... and to help band together and actually make a small but significant, drop in power consumption.
 
And not just for the hour, and not just the lights. Think about turning off the TV, computer, microwave and all those things that sap power. Then sit and read a book, have a nice long bath, go for a walk or spend time with the family.
 
Not so sure it's a good idea? Don't think it's going to do anything? Cant be bothered?

Then also think about this at other times, not just Earth Hour. Do you leave your porch lights on? Do you turn a light off when you leave a room? Do you leave your microwave and other appliances constantly switched on? If you work in an office, do you leave the computers and lights on all night? Could you make some small changes that would conserve energy on a day to day basis? If you don't care about it from an environmental view, think about the economical benefit to you - using less power saves you money.
