 Welcome hunters! I have something very different for you this year. I think I can safely say it's going to be completely different to any other hunt you'll do :D I hope you enjoy it! I'm not going to make you click through zillions of random words on a page (Hurray!).... I'm not going to make you traipse through all my products in the hopes that you'll be tempted to buy them (though, please feel free to go have a look, I am offering a 10% discount to hunters ;)).... Instead, I want to take you on an adventure......just for a bit of fun!  "open the door" to begin... (If you need a hint, go to this page)  This hunt is done using a nerdy website coding thingie ("perl", henceforth called "nerd-code") that generates a page to display based on information you've entered in...... There is no actual webpage sitting there in cyberspace for you to go and find, the nerd-code creates the pages for you as you go through..... so you can't bookmark the pages to come back to later, because the nerd-code needs you to follow the set paths each time. So if you come back to do the hunt again another day (or restart your browser), you'll have to start all over again (but you'll see that I've made that easier for you by breaking it up into sections). It does not use "cookies", so that's why it won't remember you if you come back. The nerd-code is located on another website I own, because it's not possible to upload this code to my CongoCart site.... This makes no difference at all but you may notice it says it's loading information from another website - don't be alarmed :) .... you're not actually going to another website as such.... as I explained - the website comes to you! (Shane told me to mention this so nobody goes complaining to them - I'm not breaking the rules!) I've been told it doesn't work on an ipod touch... and I haven't checked it on any of those mobile phone doohickies... so I can't say if it will work on those or not... Best to use an actual computer.... It has been checked in multiple browsers, and while some people have reported problems in IE, others using the same IE have sailed through without problem... so if you have a problem, try clearing your cache or just switch browsers (I think everyone should use firefox anyway!) Also, don't bother trying to look at the sourcecode.... Honestly you will find nothing in there useful - I'm telling you this to save you wasting your time - don't bother looking, it won't help you at all (unless you're well versed in perl code and even then anything juicy is all sneakily encoded anyway so you won't find anything helpful even if you could go peeking about in there) :D To go through this hunt, you'll have to actually work your way through it.... no tricks... nothing sneaky (well... not really ;)) You don't have to be computer savvy, you don't need to be a seasoned hunter to get through..... it's just an adventure to go on.... all fairly obvious.... not too challenging.... Hopefully you'll find it fun or at least vaguely interesting, rather than an annoying chore.
